EGO

Ego/Self/Soul
, also commonly referred to as NAFS is one of the major human psychological problems which not only mentally but also practically destroys a person. It's actually our inner self including our thoughts, feelings and desires. It's neither as a whole good nor bad. It may lead in either direction.

The biggest challenge encompassed by a person who can't control his ego is to make him think that all the bad habits are good for him. It convinces a pe
rson to indulge in bad habits including the following:

1.  Arrogance
2. Greed
3. Anger
4. Selfishness
5. Backbiting
6. Pride
7. Jealousy
8. Hatred
9. Ignorance
10. Negativity
11. Cheating
12. Lying
13. Stubbornness

It may mostly mess up our perception of reality, leading us to indulge in bad habits and make us believe that indulging in bad habits is actually good for us and is necessary for our happiness.
It leads to several unimaginable consequences...
1. People start disliking that person, especially the closest ones.
2. Destroys relationships among each other.
3. No one's ready to talk to or make that person a friend

In the end, the ego that made a person once believe that indulging in bad habits is beneficial for him which makes him look cool and amazing leads him to a lonely life, actually making him realize that there's no one there for him, especially the people he loved the most.
