The Rapid Modernization in Muslim Societies

PART 1:

"This topic emphasizes the rapid changes and transformations among Muslims in the modern era. It delves into various aspects, including lifestyle, feminism, cultural dynamics, and modern influences."

With the rapid changes in the modern world, Muslim cultures are also being modernized.

As we take a look around we can clearly see how people are being changed overtime. For this, some examples are mentioned below:

1. Dressing:

Women nowadays prefer western attire which mainly includes tight-fitting clothes. They tend to wear anything they want and call it freedom. They post their pictures on social media. But they don't know this so-called freedom is a straight way to committing sins. Islam doesn't forbid wearing such clothes, bangles, makeup or anything like garments. It just sets boundaries for them that who could see such things. Ofcourse, if women won't who would wear these things?

As mentioned in the quran:

"O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and women of believers to bring down over themselves [part] of  their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah for giving merciful."

On the other hand, men are also encouraged to:

a. Wear clothes that covers them from navel to knees. 

b. Avoid wearing clothes that are below ankles, tightly fitted or ones that resemble women attire.

"Whatever hangs down below the ankles [for men] belongs to hell fire."

Although it's called freedom to wear anything but Quran gives the reminder:

"O Children of Adam! We have bestowed upon you clothing to cover your nakedness and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness (taqwā) — that is best."

Dressing is not just about a choice, it also about maintaining modesty, avoiding pride and distinguishing between genders.

Islam has never been a complicated religion. Its teachings have always guided us to right path. So we should try to follow them accordingly in order to lead a peaceful and prosperous life.
